Newest Capital TJ Oshie and long-time girlfriend Lauren Cosgrove tied the knot on Saturday in a large wedding ceremony in Minnesota. According to St. Louis Bride & Groom Magazine, Oshie was walked down the aisle by his adorable 16-month-old daughter Lyla.

According to the magazine feature, Lauren strayed from tradition and had two maids of honor, her younger sister and her best friend, Anna. TJ’s best man was his younger brother, Taylor.

The young couple got engaged last year on their third anniversary, right before TJ left for the Sochi Winter Olympics.

We got engaged on February 4th (our third anniversary). I wasn’t expecting it. We woke up early one morning before TJ had to be at the rink. We were going to get a quick breakfast at our favorite spot right around the corner from us. As I was walking out of the door, I could tell TJ wasn’t following me anymore. I peaked around the corner to see what he was doing and he was down on one knee. Everything after that is a bit of a blur. I was speechless and of course, said YES!

Last Thursday, the Washington Capitals held their annual season-ticket holder party at Six Flags America and it was a bunch of fun. There were ketchup bottle cookies, dominant whack-a-mole performances, an Oshie/Yoshie meeting, and spur of the moment tattoos. Now the team’s releasing GoPro footage of some Caps and their significant others riding a roller coaster.

It’s mandatory viewing — especially because of how scared TJ Oshie is before the Superman’s first big drop.

That’s Brooks Laich and fiancee Julianne Hough, the Oshies, and Alex Ovechkin and fiancee Nastya Shubskaya. No, I’m not sure how Ovi didn’t lose his gold chains.

The month of July was life-changing for TJ Oshie. The long-time Blues forward was traded to the Capitals, he and his future wife Lauren moved into their new Minnesota dream home, and then he attended his own wedding on July 25. Kidney stones, which plagued Lauren during the ceremony, would hospitalize her later.

None of this craziness however seemed to seep into the couple’s wedding video, which over the weekend made the rounds on Tumblr. Produced by Capture Studios, you see the first look, TJ walking his daughter Lyla down the aisle, and a touching speech from Lauren’s father during the reception. It’s so beautiful it seems straight out of a movie.

This afternoon, TJ Oshie’s wife Lauren announced on Instagram that the couple is expecting their second child in June 2016. TJ and Lauren tied the knot on July 25, 2015, several weeks after the long-time Blues forward was traded to Washington for Troy Brouwer.

Lauren was clever and announced the news via a supposed Christmas wish list from their one-year-old daughter Lyla.

Thursday night, Carrie Underwood’s The Storyteller Tour made a pit stop at Verizon Center, where she performed in front of what the Washington Post described a “giddy” and “overwhelmingly female audience.” Also there: Capitals forwards Brooks Laich and TJ Oshie.

Laich, who was accompanied by his fiancee Julianne Hough, and Oshie, who was joined by his wife Lauren, met Underwood (wife of Predators center Mike Fisher) backstage after the show. Hough published a photo of the meeting Friday.

I know this might sound crazy, but TJ Oshie’s daughter Lyla set the tone for the Washington Capitals ahead of Game One. The Tiny Osh was recorded by her mother kicking the crap out of a Penguins poster, which, according to Dan Steinberg, was left at the family’s doorstep by a neighboring Pens fan.

The clip, which was posted by Lauren Oshie during an Instagram takeover of Ted Leonsis’s Monumental Sports Network, went viral.

Lauren also captured many other precious moments, such as Lyla celebrating her father’s second period breakaway goal at Verizon Center.

Caps fans and hockey lovers alike were truly blessed Tuesday when Lauren Oshie posted four beautiful maternity shots to Instagram. The pictures were taken by Taylor Winnik, whose Instagram page is nothing short of stunning.

The photos show the Oshie family in a green pasture with a lake and lush trees nearby. Both mom and daughter are wearing beautiful white dresses, while TJ opts for jeans and a nice long-sleeved shirt. The sun is at a perfect point in the sky, which Taylor is able to catch in Lauren’s hair, making her look even more glowing than the pregnancy already is.

Taylor Winnik, who is married to Caps forward Daniel Winnik and is a cast member on the Canadian reality TV show Hockey Wives, is trained in art and multimedia.

Former Capital Brooks Laich recently went on a safari, and Alex Ovechkin cut a rug in Mother Russia. Now via Lauren Oshie’s Instagram, we know what TJ Oshie’s and Karl Alzner’s families have been up to.

Last weekend, the two teammates took their families to Disney World. While Oshie and Alzner are literally the opposites on the ice, off of it they both have laid back, kind personalities. And it appears their tiny, adorable children, Lyla Oshie and Stella Alzner, have become inseparable.

Wednesday, the Oshie family got one tiny human bigger. Lauren Oshie gave birth to the couple’s second child, a girl, Leni Rose Oshie. She was six pounds, ten ounces.

Tiny, Penguin-hating Lyla is now an older sister.

We were first made aware of the news on Lauren’s Instagram Tuesday morning. First, Lauren posted a photo of the couple’s new baby room.

This weekend, Washington Capitals winger TJ Oshie is participating in what is called the super bowl of celebrity sports: the American Century Championship. Held at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline, Nevada, Oshie joined 80 pro athletes and Hollywood celebrities such as Charles Barkley, Aaron Rodgers, Justin Timberlake, Steph Curry, Larry The Cable Guy, Ray Romano, and Roger Clemens for the opportunity to win a share of the tournament’s $600,000 purse.

After the first round Friday, Oshie’s two points puts him in a tie for 46th place with former Orioles and Yankees pitcher David Wells. See the full leaderboard here. Oshie shot 14 over par, registering a birdie on holes three and eleven.

Oshie was joined at ACC by his wife Lauren and his two children, Lyla and one-month old Leni.

You and your wife Lauren just had your second child. What’s it like for you to have the balancing act of being a professional hockey player – come out here and compete like this – and also have the family life with two very young children?

TJ Oshie: It comes pretty easy for me just from growing up from a really good family. You go to the rink. When you go to the rink, you play hockey. You come home it’s family time. Same thing out here – although I’ve had the little girl on a couple tee boxes with me. It’s great. I’m glad the little girls can come out and watch daddy hack it up with these guys.

For all of us Washington Capitals fans, is next season going to be the season?

TJ Oshie: You know, I don’t want to come right out and say it. There’s a lot of hurt over the last couple of years. I’m sure there is for the fans as well. We’re fired up. We’re excited. We’re going to take another run at the regular season title and everything else after that.

On Saturday during Round Two, Oshie will be paired with NBA guard Andre Iguodala and NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.

TJ Oshie’s wife Lauren routinely posts adorable photos of her children on Instagram. But on Thursday afternoon, life as we know it was forever changed when Lauren posted the Oshie family portrait photo taken by Meghan Doll Photography.

The entire family looks like they have been beamed down from the heavens above to make us feel only happy things inside. TJ, Lauren, and daughter Lyla have perfect smiles. And would you look at that. EVEN BABY LENI IS LOOKING AT THE CAMERA.

The Oshies also made sure to wear complementing outfits that were all white.

White is a color that typically signifies purity, innocence, and light. And according to Wikipedia, white is the color most often associated with perfection.

TJ Oshie’s family is perfect. Tell me I’m wrong.

Washington Capitals players hosted their annual Halloween Party last night and the costumes were incredible. Matt Niskanen was the tooth fairy, Alex Ovechkin was an inmate, and Zach Sanford was Dog The Bounty Hunter. TJ and Lauren Oshie, who last year were Cruella de Vil and one of the 101 dalmatians, went to the party as Mr. and Mrs. Smith 2.0. That included blood splatters all over their white clothes. The costumes worked particularly well because TJ was sporting a swollen and bloodied lip from being high-sticked the night before against the Rangers.

On Monday, Lauren Oshie posted a photo of the family’s other Halloween costumes: The Incredibles. Even Lyla got in on the act.

How cute is that?

Thursday, TJ Oshie missed practice and the Caps game against New Jersey, returning home to tend to a “family matter.” We later learned that it was because the couple’s oldest daughter, two-year-old Lyla, had to go to the hospital.

Well I have some good news. After a several day stay, Lyla and the Oshies returned home. Lauren celebrated by taking this ridiculously adorable photo of Lyla and baby Leni. Their shirts say, “Fries before guys.”

Taylor Winnik and Lauren corresponded in the comments of her Instagram post.

“So glad to see lyla at home ,” Winnik wrote.

We’re super happy everything turned out okay.

On Monday we found out that the Alzners, Oshies and Winniks are vacationing together in the Bahamas during the Caps’ bye week. Tuesday night, we found out it’s not just the three couples and their kids. The Backstroms and Johanssons are with them, too.

In a post calling it the “Best Valentine’s Day we’ve ever had,” Taylor Winnik shared a photo of the whole 20-person crew, including some unidentified friends or family members, hanging out on the beach at Atlantis Paradise Island.

Meanwhile, another group of players and significant others including Tom Wilson and his girlfriend Taylor Pischke, Taylor Chorney and his wife Haley, Brett Connolly and his fiancée Katrina, and Braden Holtby and his wife Brandi are all vacationing together in Turks and Caicos.

John and Gina Carlson have stuck closer to home but are still enjoying that beach life in Fort Lauderdale.

Looks like the Capitals are throwing it back to the ’80s for this playoff run. Several of the Caps girlfriends, wives, and daughters will be sporting custom jean jackets to root on their men.

TJ Oshie’s wife Lauren got two jackets for the couple’s daughters Lyla and Leni. The tiny jackets both say “Daddy” and sport #77 on the back. They’re also decorated with patches that pay homage to the team, the capital, and the good ol’ days where people slapped peace signs on everything.

According to Daniel Winnik’s wife Taylor, some of the wives decided to get jean jackets made to support their husbands while having a bit of fashionable fun. It also appears that the group decided to balance the retro jackets with some more modern shirts featuring emoji-esque versions of their favorite guys along with other stylish Caps gear.

Former Capital Brooks Laich recently went on a safari, and Alex Ovechkin cut a rug in Mother Russia. Now via Lauren Oshie’s Instagram, we know what TJ Oshie’s and Karl Alzner’s families have been up to.

Last weekend, the two teammates took their families to Disney World. While Oshie and Alzner are literally the opposites on the ice, off of it they both have laid back, kind personalities. And it appears their tiny, adorable children, Lyla Oshie and Stella Alzner, have become inseparable.

Wednesday, the Oshie family got one tiny human bigger. Lauren Oshie gave birth to the couple’s second child, a girl, Leni Rose Oshie. She was six pounds, ten ounces.

Tiny, Penguin-hating Lyla is now an older sister.

We were first made aware of the news on Lauren’s Instagram Tuesday morning. First, Lauren posted a photo of the couple’s new baby room.

Later, Lauren snapped a picture of her sister Ally arriving at the house to babysit Lyla during the delivery.

Around 1 PM, Ally tweeted that Lyla was about to be a big sister.
